We were lucky enough to visit Mallory Court last week and enjoyed a comprehensive site visit with the sales team. Situated in a lovely quiet setting with beautiful grounds suitable for relaxation and teambuilding you would never think you were just a few minutes from the M40 and close to Birmingham airport and city centre.

The building itself was built in 1916 as a family home and purchased to develop into a hotel in 1976. It still retains a really homely feeling and has an intimate lounge, bar and restaurant area. The kitchen is ran by MasterChef: The Professionals winner Stu Deeley and many ingredients are grown in the hotel’s own kitchen gardens, from garden peas and mint to sun-ripened tomatoes. The hotel Spa also has a lovely Asian inspired healthy eating dining space called Sencha – so plenty of options for conference and offsites. The hotel can of course offer private dining, and conference lunches and buffets too.

The hotel has some nice smaller meeting rooms including a lovely boardroom perfect for private dining or high-level meetings which we really liked. The Conference Centre sits adjacent to the hotel in a separate building and is self-contained with a lounge area, car access and lots of natural daylight flooding in. It has a variety of different sized meeting rooms opening up into a larger space for 80 cabaret. This building also has bedrooms above it too so would work well as a unit for confidential events.

The bedrooms are all of a great standard, from historical, beautiful traditional bedrooms including mullion windows, balconies and lovely features which we thought were very nice! The newer bedrooms share the same stylish décor throughout the hotel and are spacious with fantastic bathrooms. It is possible to have a buy out at Mallory Court for your event, including all bedrooms, conference rooms and public areas (excluding the Spa which sits separately from the hotel).

What we loved about Mallory Court: The boutique styling inside a traditional building. The beautiful grounds and flexible meeting space – all so centrally located just over an 1.5 hours from London and 45 minutes from Birmingham

Best for: Offsite meetings with variable dining options for one or more nights. Events with teambuilding attached. Confidential board meetings and private dining.
