Niki and Jacqui are just back from a packed trip to Manchester. In just two and a half days…..

With too many venues to put in one post – this one will concentrate on some of the residential venues we saw. Loved the glamour and history of the Kimpton – celebrating its 130 birthday. The quirky bedrooms at the Treehouse and the gorgeous, bright public spaces and meeting rooms. Fantastic gym (not just a room – but a proper gym!). Great outdoor space with their own padel courts. The Voco Manchester was a great hotel. Funky, industrial feel to the (very well stocked!) bar and public areas and tastefully decorated bedrooms. The elegant and chic Radisson Edwardian and the stunning Peter Street Kitchen. The grace of the Midland Hotel – where we were treated to a delicious dinner. Last but by no means least we managed a flying visit to the Manchester Marriott Hotel Piccadilly which is looking very smart after a recent significant multi-million pound investment.

We did find time to have a glass of fizz at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate’s sky bar Cloud 23.
