Niki Rule
I was lucky enough to acquire The Conference People in 2023 and have a fantastic team of experienced industry experts to look after our fabulous clients – the existing loyal ones and our new clients joining us all the time.
I’ve worked in the events and hotel industry my whole career – but what I love about TCP is the fact we can help our clients, with anything anywhere and there are no restrictions. It’s great to be able to build amazing relationships with clients and venues alike. I love the broad variety of venues we work with and helping stressed, busy customers and receiving great feedback about the team – that will always give me a buzz!
LOVES
Open fires, hot beaches, red wine, dog walks and trash TV
DISLIKES
Rudeness, the wet dark UK weather and traffic queues!
STRENGTHS
Client love – long relationships built on trust and good customer service – and negotiating rates and deals!
WEAKNESSES
Trash TV! Instagram, Crisps, Shoes and good Malbec
FAV HOTELS
The Grand Hotel Brighton for all my memories working there and its stunning sea views, The Kimpton Fitzroy for it’s beautiful Ballroom and ground floor glam and some of the old school Mayfair hotels, top hatted doormen and top tier personalised service. The Standard for it’s uber cool Townhouses for meetings and vibey bars.

Hi – I’ve been here since 1998.
Landed here quite by accident – came for work experience, fell in love with the industry and never left! I love the variety of this job – no day is the same here, because you never know what that next email or phone call will bring in!
When I’m not working I love spending time with my husband and my, now grown up, children. I like nothing more than snuggling up with a blanket and one of my two cats on a cold evening.
LOVES
Walks along the seafront or the South Downs in the sunshine, a large glass of Whispering Angel and a good book
DISLIKES
Anything with aubergines in, packed tube trains and bad manners

Attention to detail, great presentation and organisational skills, patience kindness and support, great team member – keeps Niki alive!

Chocolate, Hula Hoops and getting my nails done!

A really good sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice-cream (or thick cream – depending on the weather!)

The Royal Lancaster London who were the first central London hotel to have beehives on their rooftop.

I started working for The Conference People back in 2000
It’s quite hard to believe that I have been here nearly 25 years! With the variety that we have each day, it really doesn’t feel that long. There have been so many amazing places that I’ve been able to visit over the years within the UK, Europe and further afield! One of the highlights would be on a fam trip to Monte Carlo and dancing along side the Prince of Monaco to ‘It’s Raining Men’ – not sure many people will be able to say that!
Outside of work, I have a daughter who was born in 2015 – and she certainly keeps me on my toes. We enjoy going shopping together and taking our dog for walks on the beach and in the woods.

Anything with raisins in

I’m the newest member of the team; however, I have been in the industry since 2002 working on both the venue and agent side of things.
